After a brief review and some read up in websites, here are my summary. I call up the stronger points of the device.
Samsung Galaxy S
- wifi on 2.2.1 is more stable.
- Super AMOLED display.
- Corning gorilla glass.
- Better HD video recording.
- TouchWIZ UI.
- microSD slot.
- FM radio.
Nexus S
- battery life.
- Camera with led.
- Faster GPS lock.
- Louder speaker/ear piece.
- Curved surface reduce scratch.
My opinion:
I have been using the Samsung Galaxy S since day1 (got it on the 1week it was launched in Malaysia), upgrading from 2.1 to 2.1 update to 2.2 and later venture into custom firmware. . . I only see improvements from each update; proving that the hardware was built versatile and ready to support future releases. If you own an Sgs, nexus s will not be a logical upgrade. Missing an external sd card and I heard Malaysia market's nexus s is not AMOLED.
I would recommend waiting for the Galaxy S II which supposed to be launched in a few days time. . .
