I was walking around KLCC today looking for some accessories for my iPad2. I was kinda surprised that there were 3 choices of iPad2 case already available in Machines KLCC. However it was at a whooping RM 3xx price tag and it did not interest me at all as it was kinda thick. The other sleeves available there for the iPad which fits the iPad2 perfectly was also kinda plain and pricey. RM 1xx for neoprene case... that is insane!!
However, I figured out that I can find a temporary case before the iPad2 is launched here for more options, so I walked into Kinokuniya Bookstore in KLCC.
The answer....
So, RM 17.20 for the same neoprene case in the inside, giving protection and cleaning the screen at the same time...AND additional sleeves with zippers and a little utility hook... WITH water proofing... This is just 1/10th of the iPad sleeves in Apple stores..
The size is B5 which is just slightly bigger than the iPad. 3/4 inch in width and 1" in height longer than the iPad.
Slightly larger is good news... I can fit in a notepad and my Yes Huddle easily... Notepad is actually acting like a protector for the iPad screen. I can just throw this into my bag along with other things without worrying much about the screen being hit by objects in my bag.
And... what is iPad without an internet connection?
In the bookstore, I also encountered another piece of hardware which can be interestingly applied to the iPad... a photo frame stand!
For just RM 2.90. It is cheaper than breakfast!
Oh ho... Digital Photo frame !!
Serves as a docking / charging station :)
